Which would be scarier for the survivors, zombies or Earth affected by meteor destruction?

Assuming there was a virus released that caused something like Zombieland or that our luck finally runs out and a meteor hits the Earth of sufficient size to cause widespread death but not big enough for complete extinction. Which would be worse for those of us not turned zombie/not wiped out in initial meteor hit?
