Debate It! 11

I love it!

Posted By matt,

I love it - it is great. Just one suggestion, is it possible to allow people to vote with out logging in? Logging in creates a barrier, and most people are lazy, - yes they will click to vote but most probably wouldnt take the time to log in. By allowing people to vote, with out logging in - it does a couple of things 1. It increases the number of votes; 2. Encourages people to return again next time they see a tweet - with the" please help me decide" alternatively if they have seen it b4 an know they have to log in they may just ignore the tweet 3. More people voting encourges tote creators to keep creating, which in turn I hope keeps meaning more traffic to to the site 4. May encourage others to create an account and a tote Else if you could make log in via twitter to vote that would be good BTW though as I said I love the site and concept - its is fantastic

That is a great idea. We totally agree and have removed the need to register to vote. Vote Away!

Got a javascript popup alert when submitting a new ToT, saying c2data is null. May want to check that out devs.

Things are not often black or white! And, this or that fits in that grey category! I would like TOT to add the possibility of enabling an explanation given for a choice. Of course, it is not needed for some TOT, but there are more obscure subjects that need the supporting information to help people decide which is this or that! Not convinced? My TOT is the reform of the English language. How many people understand fully the full implication of this reform. I am sure many would vote against a reform, but if they knew that this reform would not be forced upon them, but slowly and carefully introduced for future generations, then they might vote differently! If they knew why there is such a need for a reform, then they might just vote for it! Not convinced? Here is the blog (http://reforming-english.blogspot.com/ ) that might convince you that sometimes supporting info is needed! But, this is just a suggestion! Otherwise, I like the concept of TOT!
