I like both, I have some cats, but when I move into a house, I want a dog. I had dogs as a kid, you can take them out walking, etc. It just depends on what you want, if you want an animal to lie around and be petted and be pretty low maintenance you take a cat. A dog, you have to walk it, and you can't leave them alone in the house too long or they break stuff.
