About Startup Madness
TechStars, the startup accelerator in New York City, Boston, Seattle, and Boulder is looking for the next big thing. The TechStars team will choose the top 64 nominated startups for its first Startup Madness tournament, hosted here at This or That.
To qualify, startups must meet these criteria:- Haven't raised funding of $250,000 or more and haven't generated revenue of more than $250,000 in a single year
- Have a live, usable public site or an accessible demo on their home page
- Have not already been in the TechStars program
- Must be an internet, software, or hi-tech company
How It Works
The selected participants in Startup Madness will be competing against each other in a standard 64-team tournament bracket. Voting will take place here on This or That.
- Startups will compete head-to-head for votes from This or That users. Users can vote once per matchup per round by clicking on their choice. The company who gets more votes in each contest advances to the next round.
- Public voting will take place over 6 rounds, beginning on Monday, March 14th and concluding on Monday, April 4th
- You can get more votes for your favorite company by sharing their matchups, but please don’t create multiple accounts or try to otherwise manipulate the voting
