Jerry Sandusky is considering doing a 'major TV interview.' Good idea or good lord, shut up?

Former defensive coordinator for Penn State Jerry Sandusky and his wife are contemplating doing a "major TV interview" with Oprah, Barbara Walters, or some other major TV news program, according to Sandusky's lawyer Joe Amendola. Considering the severity of the crimes Sandusky is accused of (multiple counts of sexual abuse of a child) and the fact that his last interview with Bob Costas went pretty terribly, I'm pretty astounded that Sandusky wants to sit down for another interview. It would seem smarter for him to STFU and keep quiet about the allegations, but he and his lawyer seem to think otherwise.

Should Sandusky sit down for a major TV interview, or do you think he'll just end up digging himself into a deeper hole?

Debate It! 1

This is actually a really good PR move on his part. If he gets Oprah on his side somehow or convinces her that he has been rail roaded, then he will end up looking a lot better in the public eye as she will begin to take up his cause. It's a hail mary at best, but he was a football coach after all.
