Could Mark Wahlberg Have Prevented September 11th?

In a recent interview with Men's Journal, actor Mark Wahlberg (who was initially booked on one of the hijacked flights during 9/11) was quoted as saying, "If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'Okay, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry.'"
Wahlberg's assertion that he would have been able to single handedly prevent a national tragedy might seem simultaneously insensitive and incredibly cocky. After all, hindsight is 20/20. However, the action star is known for being a bit of a badass, and there's no telling for certain how the terrorist attacks would have been butterfly effected if Wahlberg had been on one of the flights.
