Rush Limbaugh set off quite a media storm when he called Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown student, a "slut" for being on birth control.

This Slut Votes seeks to protect reproductive health care rights and privacy
"Women deserve dignity, so I want to strip 'slut' of its malice and preserve our right to be sexually active and responsible about it."
So, what is your take? Is Soard onto something by promoting women's rights with her loud, proud, taking-it-back sentiment? Or is Rush right to call users of birth control sluts in an effort to reduce access to contraceptives? Share your thoughts with a comment or vote, and share this story to start a dialogue about a subject too often left in awkward, shy silence.
Jenna Soard has responded in kind.

She feels that if a media voice such as Rush wants to call women sluts and push a no-choice agenda as though the sexual revolution never happened, then so be it. She will not (pardon the pun) take it laying down. She stands up to proudly declare herself a slut -- and this slut votes.
Hence the name of her group, This Slut Votes. The group focuses on informing voters of legislative and political issues that threaten the progress of women's rights in America, with everything from a list of where to register to vote in every state to a newsletter informing readers of local and national events.
"The Limbaugh incident evoked a very visceral response," Soard said. "His cavalier use of such a demeaning term made me want to protect women against being marginalized after so many decades of earning autonomy and freedom of choice."
Also, Rush -- in his haste to slander women on birth control -- seems to forget about his own use of Viagra. So...does he think men should be having more sex with women off birth control? Perhaps he plans to challenge the Duggar family to a baby-making contest?
Rush's comments are just the tip of an iceberg forming in modern politics. New legislation is emerging to prevent or even penalize access to birth control, and This Slut Votes is reminding politicians that, regardless of moral or religious positions, reproductive health care is a personal choice, not a platform for legal grandstanding (just ask a federal judge).
The idea is that the word "slut" is only cruel if women take offense to it, rather than embrace it to shut up fellas like Rush. This Slut Votes donates 10 percent of proceeds to Planned Parenthood, generated by sales of This Slut Votes merchandise.

Do you feel contraceptives should be readily available to all patients?
