Susan G. Koman Plans to Sue for the Cure, Then Host a 5k

A friend of mine once remarked that breast cancer awareness is like the pomegranate of campaigns -- it's everywhere. Susan G. Komen is easily the most prevalent fundraising organization, shoving pink ribbons and fun runs down your throat in the name of saving boobies everywhere. A foundation focused on healthy breasts can't possibly be a big-chested, well-endowed bully in disguise, right? Well...
Apparently only Susan G. Komen can do something "for the cure," and anyone else trying to step on their cure territory is gonna get punched in the boobs and hit with a lawsuit (okay, maybe just the lawsuit part). So far they've set their sights on A-cup organizations like Kites for a Cure, Par for the Cure, Surfing for a Cure, and Cupcakes for a Cure, who can't stand up to the double D fury of the Komen foundation. No word on whether Robert Smith is next on their hit list.

Susan G. Komen's attempts to ban other charities from using "cure" and the color pink in their fundraising efforts makes them look like they're more concerned about their brand than raising money for cancer research. The time and money they and defending charities spend on litigation is better spent towards the actual causes they're promoting, don't you think?
Susan G. Komen is suing other charities to protect "for the cure." Thoughts?
