New Digg Launches, and It's Buggy as Hell

When I logged into the site, I was asked if I wanted to find friends to follow by letting Digg snoop around my Twitter, Facebook, and Gmail accounts. I hit "Continue to My News" and a huge red error button that read "Forbidden" popped up in the upper left corner.

Afterwards, I was redirected to this little gem:

Clicking on the "Top News" link pulled up this Oregon Trail-designed error:

As a loyal Reddit user, I'm used to constant down time and the site breaking. However, Digg actually makes money and has manpower to fix crap like this, so I'm surprised that the new launch has been this buggy and sloppy.
Mashable has a summary of Digg's new interface and what the focus is. Apparently the social news giant is trying to focus more on personalized news and more social interaction with friends (the "My News" section will feature stories dugg by the people you follow as opposed to what's generally popular on the site). There's also a big emphasis on sharing submissions via Facebook, Twitter, or email, and it's really pushing integration between their site and the two main social networking sites.
It seems as if Digg's new design is a weird hybrid of Facebook + Twitter + social news. This drastic change has already appeared to alienate much of Digg's loyal users, but it's too early to tell whether the new design and direction will be successful or a big fat failure. Reddit doesn't seem to have much faith in Digg's new design, as someone's already jokingly posted a welcome thread for ex-Diggers who defect over to Reddit.
I know it's a bit early to tell, but what do you think of Digg's new launch (if you can even get it to work consistently, of course)? Are you a fan or do you prefer the old Digg (although it's hard to know which "old" Digg since there's been so many iterations)?
