Singer/songwriter/token white dude John Mayer has deleted his Twitter account, following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus and Tila Tequila every other week. His 3.7 million followers are likely holding a vigil and playing "Waiting on the World to Change" on repeat until he returns.
Of course, he can't just quit Twitter without providing a farty reason for doing so. When asked, his response was, "I just think Twitter as a form of communication, I think it's over to be honest with you." I'm sure the 100 million users worldwide posting 65 million tweets every day agree with him. Mayer was also allegedly frustrated by negative replies he'd get from users (also known as the "Taking My Ball and Going Home" reaction). If he's hurt by negativity, he might as well stop using the Internet altogether. it's the Internet. This place is like the Mad Max universe.
Do you agree with John Mayer and think that Twitter is "over" as a form of communication?

"Say goodbye to my smoldering angst, Tweeple!"
