Grizzlies Squatting with Their "Spurs" OnPosted on by Wes Studer (wstuder)

Several years ago I was walking around a cowboy antique store in Central Oregon and was looking at a few humorous signs. One that caught my eye in particular read "Don't Squat With Yer Spurs On!" Though I didn't buy it, that saying now comes to mind considering what we're witnessing in the NBA playoffs.
The Memphis Grizzlies are defying that sign's advice and are on the verge of becoming only the second team in history to knock out the top seed in the first round of the playoffs since the league expanded to the best of seven series. That no. 1 seed, the appropriately named Spurs of San Antonio, finished the season with the league's best record, but in three games they've come up short against the western conference's eighth seed, especially in game four, an 18-point blowout on the road.
Zach Randolph (50) has averaged 15.5 points per game in the series
Several questions have arisen from this scenario. If the Grizzlies can finish off the Spurs, then when? Does San Antonio have the energy to fight back? If the Grizzlies win the series, will they have similar success against their next opponent(s)? Regardless of what transpires in the coming days the Grizzlies, while countering one feces-related adage, have definitely backed up another. Come playoff time, the regular season doesn't mean s@#t!
Will the Grizzlies seal the deal against the Spurs?
