Facebook Sues Teachbook, Plans to Go After Your Actual Face Next

Facebook seems to have emerged as the type of bully who will walk by you in the cafeteria and deliberately knock your tray out of your hands while saying "WHOOPS." Their latest form of jerkitude involves filing a lawsuit against a teacher startup called Teachbook that hasn't even launched a website yet. Way to be preemptive with your jackassery, Facebook!
Is Facebook really that insecure with their own brand that they feel people would confuse a bloatedly successful social networking site with a website for teachers? They claim that "using the word 'book' in a website domain name is 'highly distinctive in the context of online communities and networking websites.'" Oh come on -- they don't own the word "book," even if another domain uses it for a social networking idea.
TG Daily admits that Teachbook is "probably riding the Facebook name to give it some start-up panache," which I don't doubt, but even if they are, who gives a crap? It's not a direct ripoff and the name's not so similar that it's confusing, so I don't see why Facebook's so butt-hurt about it.
his seems a bit frivolous and petty to me, but what do you think of the lawsuit? Is Facebook simply trying to protect their brand integrity or do you think they're just being dickish?
