In the May 2011 issue of Esquire magazine, the 23-year-old reveals she likes to take charge while out on a date with a lady love. "I'm more of like the guy when it comes to girls. I'm the dominant one. I'm opening the doors, I'm buying dinner. Yeah, I'm romantic."
It seems Evan is far from alone. From Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" to mainstream bisexual characters appearing in film and television shows, the beginning of the 21st century has witnessed an unprecedented surge of public bisexual acceptance. For the first time studies show that women feel they are being encouraged to experiment with same-sex partners by pop culture.
The phrase "bisexual chic" is used to describe increased public interest or social acceptance of bisexuality, typically associated with a celebrity or media coverage. A pejorative sense of the phrase is noted, referring to the perceived fad of bisexuality, concerning those who after coming out continue to carry on with typical heterosexual behavior.
Here's a look at 11 other female celebrities and their varied thoughts on bisexuality:
The True Blood star, now married to co-star Stephen Moyer (who are also co-stars with Evan Rachel Wood), made jaws drop in April 2010 when she boldly announced her bisexuality as part of the Give A Damn campaign. "I'm not someone who endlessly talks about her personal life for no reason, but obviously, as someone who identifies as bisexual, those are issues I really care about -- and frankly, I don't see why everyone doesn't care about them," she later told Zap2it. "So when I was asked to participate in that PSA (for True Colors First, a gay rights organization), it was just an obvious, 'Well, of course I will.'"
"It wasn't like it was a big secret," Anna continued. "It was just a cause I cared about and privately supported, but not one that I had ever had an opportunity to speak out about in a way that would be useful. Obviously I know that one person's voice doesn't necessarily do that much, but I just wanted to do my bit."

Long grown from her E.T. days, Drew Barrymore has become known as one of Hollywood's bisexual beauties. In 2004 she was quoted as saying, "A woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful. Being with a woman is like exploring your own body, but through someone else. When I was younger I used to go with lots of women. Totally. I love it."
Unlike many of the actresses on this list who have only dabbled briefly with other women, Anne Heche has had lengthy relationships with both sexes. The actress dated comedian Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000, then later married (and divorced) actor Coley Laffoon.

Known as one of Hollywood's hottest actresses, Megan Fox sent tongues wagging in 2009 when she told Esquire magazine that she enjoys the sexual company of women. "I have no question in my mind about being bisexual," the 24 year old revealed. "I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl - Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands." Alrighty then.

Long before she had a gaggle of children, Angelina Jolie fell in love with Foxfire co-star Jenny Shimizu. "I would probably have married Jenny if I hadn't married my [first] husband. I fell in love with her the first second I saw her," she said. In 2003, when asked if she was bisexual, Angelina responded, "Of course. If I fell in love with a woman tomorrow, would I feel that it's okay to want to kiss and touch her? If I fell in love with her? Absolutely! Yes!"
Drea de Matteo
Sopranos and Joey star Drea de Matteo opened up about her experience with women in 2005, telling a newspaper, "I love men and they're who I go out with, but every now and then - well I can't say I've never been with a woman."

"I love experimenting with my sexuality," Christina told Zoo Magazine in January 2004. "If that means girls then so be it. It would be wrong to hide this side of my personality." Speaking of her physique preferences, she explains, "I love to see a girl with a good booty. The thing I hate is a girl who's got fake boobs and no butt."
Christina, Britney Spears, and Madonna made headlines in 2003 for their shared kisses on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Rap's newest female superstar Nicki Minaj appears to have waffled a bit on the bisexual fence. After proclaiming her lady love in numerous song lyrics (Excuse me little mama / But you could say I'm on duty / I'm lookin for a cutie / A real big ol' ghetto booty / I really like your kitty cat / and if you let me touch her / I know you're not a bluffer), and then being described as "openly bisexual" by Details magazine, the 26 year old muddled her open status. "I just embrace all people of all lifestyles and I don't tell them they are bad people," Nicki told Vibe. "And I say girls are beautiful and girls are sexy and they need to be told that, and if they don't have anyone to tell them that and mean it, I'm gonna tell them that. But I feel like people always wanna define me and I don't wanna be defined."
