As we get ever closer to 2012, Sarah Palin is seeing her popularity among most Americans fade by the day, but there was probably at least one person she thought she could count on for support. The Mama Grizzly was so supportive of her daughter Bristol when she was on Dancing with the Stars that Sarah probably assumed Bristol would return the favor. Instead there are rumors that the eldest daughter of the Palin clan and her mother are at odds over several different political issues, and the fighting has gotten so bad that Sarah has been banned from Bristol's palatial Arizona house.

The first clue that all was not right in the Palin clan was probably the fact that Bristol decided to live in a place about as different from Alaska as you can get. According to several insiders Bristol, despite still being the face of an abstinence-only program, is quite a bit more liberal (and possibly more sane?) than her mother. The two have apparently really come to blows over whether or not the country should still be treating homosexuals as second class citizens.

Of course, in order to believe there is actually a feud at a level so intense that Sarah has been banned from Bristol's home you have to believe a couple of things. The first is that Bristol isn't nearly as brainwashed as she and the rest of the kids usually appear. Another factor that might make the feud less than authentic is that Bristol would essentially be turning her back on quite a bit of money. It needs to be pointed out that Bristol does not have a college degree and yet was able to afford her own home in a rich section of Arizona. Would any 20-something be willing to turn down the amount of cash she is seeing just to rebel against a parent who puts new meaning into "controlling"?

Whether the feud continues to grow or settles down now that it has hit the news will be an interesting storyline to follow.
