Our second round of the
2010 Song of the Year Tournament is
underway, and the results of Round 1 were surprising to say the
least. We saw dedicated fans come out in droves to support their
favorite artists' songs, as well as unexpected wins, shocking
upsets, and close races. Here's a recap of Round 1 for those of you
who were interested!
Number of votes cast in Round 1: 18,066
Most viewed/voted on match up: Justin Bieber's "Baby" vs. Trey Songz' "Bottoms Up," currently standing at nearly 16,000 views and 1001 votes
Biggest Upset: Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" losing to Train's "Hey Soul Sister"
Closest match ups:
Strongest Fan Base: Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and both Justin Bieber fans and anti-Justin Bieber fans
Voting for Round 2 ends tomorrow, January 19th, at 5:00 pm PST, so cast your votes for the songs you want to see advance to the Sweet 16!
