With Henry Cavill being announced as the newest actor to don the 'S' - does he make a better man of steel or did Brandon Routh with his Christopher-Reeves-esque-kinda-sorta-I-c an-see-it? Cavill has been loved on Showtime's "The Tudors" and will be playing the Greek warrior, Theseus, in an upcoming movie. Routh was a white-haired super-vegan in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" recently... and I don't know why that matters, but I said it anyway.

Cavill's too small for Superman and has he ever had an American role? I think he's more known for his "European" roles which makes it hard to envision him as Supes. Superman isn't American, but he sure was brought up as one. WB should've given Singer and Routh their sequel. Hope they cast Routh for JLA.

personally, I am British myself and I don't even think he's good enough for the role! Brandon is amazing, and plus its soooooooooo annoying when directors and producers change characters in the sequels which REAAAAAAAAALLY cheeses me off! And I agree, i'm not going to watch the film without Brandon. Twats.
